Agri Motive Products, Inc. was founded in 1977 by David L. Daugherty.    Manufacturing and marketing electronic specialty products for the agricultural marketplace has been the company’s primary focus since it’s inception.  January 1, 2003 Agri Motive Products, Inc. and Daugherty, Inc were consolidated into The Daugherty Companies, Inc.

   Mr. Daugherty became associated with the DICKEY-john Corporation in 1968 as a sales representative for Indiana and Kentucky. Through a continuing relationship with DICKEY-john and Agri Motive Products, he has over 35 years of experience with agricultural monitors, and ranks as one of the most experienced people in the industry.

   In 1992, Agri Motive Products introduced the first Grain Drill Monitoring System on the market, “The Vanguard System.”    Population monitoring was pioneered in 1994, and in 1998, the Precision Information Center was first on the market with Ultra High Rate Sensors for counting wheat and other small grains.  Recently the VM-2600 and VM-2800 became the lead monitors featuring the latest in technology and functions.

   The company designs and builds custom wiring harness for agricultural equipment as well as providing a full line of electronic monitor accessories and repair parts.
