The German stallion book describes him as follows: "Extremely beautiful all over; finely chiseled head, good neck, best possible top line, a bit light in bone, good hocks, first-class mover, especially at the trot." Graditz's sire, Rondo (by Schabernack out of Rositten by Sterndeuter), is characterized as follows: "Excellent model of a breeding stallion with good Trakehner and stallion type; noble, expressive head, very good neck, good shoulder, saddle position and top line, harmonious body proportions, four good legs, covering much ground in all paces." Rondo is known as a producer of excellent jumping horses. He is by Schabernack, sire of 10 approved sons. Rondo's dam, Rositten 3559, by Sterndeuter (an impressive light-bay stallion by Stern), represents the Stern Line.
